I know a long time that i want to go in foreign country as an au pair. I love children and that to connect with traveling and learn other cultures. That´s amazing! I found a very nice organisation which helped me to find a nice host family and supported me in everything to arrange for my travel in February 2012. My Travel began in my home country Germany. I drove with my parents and my little brother to the netherlands because my flyt started in Amsterdam at the airport Schipol. But that wasn´t a problem because i have family in the netherlands and therefore we were staying for 3 days there to visiting family and friends there. It was very nice:). At the 27 February the real Travel began. I met another girl(Marije) at Schipol who travel with me. I was very happy that i could the big travel with her. After the discharge from my family i pass with Marije the Duane and we went to the Gate. I was so exited! At 29 February 14:40pm we were landing at the airport Auckland. I was very exiting to see my host family. As i went out my host mother with Honor was still waiting for me. They welcome me very friendly and i was very happy to see them. As we arrived at the house the au pair(Sandra) and Maja welcomed me. My host mother showed me the whole house and after that i took a shower and went into my bed. I was very very tired!!!! And i needed the sleep because we went the next day all together to the beachhouse from them at the Matapaua Beach. The drive was very nice. We drove between the mountains and at some places you had beatiful expectations over the Pafific. I also saw all sorts of plants at one place. Exotic plants but also trees and plants which i know from the German forests.That really nice to see. Amazing! The five days in the beachhouse were very relaxed. I got to know more about the family and we spend a lot of time together. In the weekend i spend much time with sandra. She is a very friendly girl and we got along very well. We were often lying at the beach and did walks together. Every evening we get a dinner with the whole family. The mother and father from my host mother and friends from them were there too. Cozy. At monday we drove back to Auckland. Thursday i met another au pair(Mara). I met her with sandra and we went to a cafe to drink something there. After that i went with sandra to the city. We walked to the beautiful haven and than into the city to go shopping. It was a very nice day. As we arrived back at home my foot hurt very much, because a bee stung me at the beach and my foot was now very big and hurts from the long walk in the city. Like an 'elefant foot'. The next day i went with my host mother(kiriana) to the doctor. He said that´s an infection and i have to lay the food high and relax him. Although he gave me medicaments. After a few days the medicaments helped and the swelling went away. At Thursday we ate Fondue for Dinner. Delicious! The brother from kiriana came with his girlfriend. We had a nice swiss dinner! Friday morning i met kiriana´s sister. She is so funny! The whole family from kiriana are very happy and they laugh al lot together. I like that! Midday i went with sandra, honor and maja to the zoo in auckland. Honor loves the Zoo. She is very impressed by all this animals.It was a very nice trip. Yesterday morning i brought with sandra honor and maja to the grandparents because my host parents flew to wellington to a wedding. After that we went to the pacific festival in auckland. We parked the car in a side street. The festival wasn´t so impressive that i thought but it was nice. After that we walked back to the car. The car was away! We thought oh my god the car was stolen!! We couldn´t believe that. At once we realized that we were in the wrong street. My boyfriend would say ohh möörree that was clearly again. But Sandra have also a bad sense of direction. So that was very funny. After that we went shopping in a big shopping mall. At the return journey i drove for the first time in new zealand. It was very strange to drive on the left site but it works good with sandras help. Finally it was a funny saturday with sandra. Today the wether isn´t good so it will be a relaxed sunday. In the evening my host parents will come back from the wedding and the children are coming too. So that will be nice to see them.

Tomorrow i´ll have my first real workday. Exiting!!
